Well, we had our first consultation last night with Cristina from the Utah Foster Care Foundation. We start classes on Thursday. We have to attend 32 hours of training, plus all of the paperwork, background checks, home study, and references that have to be done. If everything works out, we could start accepting children into our home in about 4 to 6 months. We are super excited. We know that the primary goal for the children through foster care is re-unification with their family, but there is always the possibility of it turning into an adoption. We are happy to open our home to these children and families that need this help. We are so grateful for all of the support that we have from family and friends. We are so very blessed. So, now that we are moving forward with this process, we have to start getting our home ready for children. We are probably going to start by accepting young children into our home since we are young and we do not yet have other children. So, we are going to be setting up a bedroom with a bunk bed and dressers, etc. And we will set up a multi-stage crib in our bedroom if we get an infant. We will try and keep everyone posted on how the process is going. We are also still working on the process to apply for adoption through LDS Family Services. That process has been slow coming. So, we will have to keep waiting and see how that goes also. Please keep praying for us and we know that everything will work out.
